Risk Based Management Verifications: Unlock the potential for your organisation, understand the risks and adapt your verification and audit approach
Main change in the programming period 2021 – 2027 is the introduction of Risk Based Management Verifications (RBMV) according to article 74 CPR. This change will offer significant benefits to Authorities, however it also bears potential risks. This three-day international seminar will offer deep and practical insights into all aspects of the development and updating of RBMV methodologies, its application in practice and will present Member States practices for ESF+, ERDF (including ETC), Cohesion Funds and EMFF from the view of Managing Authority and IBs as well as Auditors and other stakeholders (such as former Certifying Authorities, Internal auditors, Risk Managers etc.).
Focus will be on practical exercises where the participants will work on the development of RBMV methodologies supported by our lecturers who are the key persons in the preparation of MSs Recommendation papers for ESF+ and ERDF/CF .
Target groups: Managing Authorities, Audit Authorities, Certifying Authorities, Intermediate Bodies, Risk Managers and Risk Coordinators, Top and Middle Managers of Institutions in MCS, Internal auditors

Peter Vlasveld, host
Director SEEU Academy, The Netherlands
Peter Vlasveld has a business in auditing and advisory services after being Head of the Audit Authority of The Netherlands for over a decade. Peter has extensive knowledge and experience with EU grants both from management side as from audit side. In addition, Peter has been lecturer for many international events, e.g. seminars, twinning projects and EU wide working groups.

Goran Zakanji
Croatia
Goran Zakanji is heading ESF unit in Croatian Audit Authority. He participated in a number of international projects, providing advisory services to public bodies in Europe, Asia and Africa. Goran works as a lecturer for different international companies in various fields, including the Risk Based Management Verifications. His current responsibility includes development of Member States Recommendation paper on RBMV.

Oana Cristea
Romania
Oana Cristea is Head of MA - General Directorate for EU Territorial Cooperation in Romania, where she is coordinating the management and implementation of EU funded programmes. Since 2006 she is a member of the Committee for the IPA Assistance, managed by DG NEAR. Also, she has worked at the Competence Centre for Operational Efficiency within the European Commission (DG REGIO) and since 2015 she is a Taiex and Twinning expert, involved in several projects in the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership countries.
